Carriage of Standard Baggage

Czech Airlines guarantee you minimum of 23kg checked-in baggage + 8kg cabin baggage for FREE.
Carriage of your baggage is free of charge, provided it meets the weight and size limits. Inform yourself about these limits and the conditions of carriage.
Checked Baggage
An adult passenger may carry checked baggage complying with the following conditions:
Business Class Economy Class Economy Flex
Within Europe/Asia and the Middle East 2 pieces

On flights operated by Czech Airlines, OK PLUS Silver, Gold or Platinum Card holders and SKYTEAM ELITE or ELITE PLUS holders are entitled to a free extra piece of checked baggage, where the sum of all three dimensions of which must not exceed 158 cm (62 in) and the weight of which must not exceed 23 kg (50 lbs).
If you are travelling with in infant (a child aged up to 2 years, not entitled to his/her own seat), you are entitled to check a bag for him/her weighing up to 10kg (22 lb), with total maximum dimensions adding of up to 115cm (45 in), and a folded pram. A child aged 2 to 12 years (entitled to his/her own seat) is entitled to check baggage within the same allowance as an adult passenger.
On flights operated Czech Airlines, the maximum weight per piece of checked baggage must not exceed 32 kg (70 lbs.), due to technical reasons. Exceptions applywith respect to a passenger’s wheelchair, animals, musical instruments, TV cameras, and sports equipment that cannot be divided among several pieces.
In your checked baggage, you may not carry money, cheques, credit cards, securities or other valuables, commercial or other personal documents, passports or other personal identification documents, keys, mobile telephones, spectacles and sunglasses, jewellery and articles made of precious metals, cameras, video-cameras or other electronic devices (including personal computers, laptops, and data CDs with databases), works of art or fragile items.
Hand (Cabin) Baggage
You are entitled to take following hand baggage on board of the aircraft free of charge:
Business Class
(maximum length of 55 cm (22 in), maximum width of 45 cm (18 in) and maximum depth of 25 cm (10 in)including handle, side pockets and wheels)
Second small hand baggage (maximum length of 40 cm (16 in), maximum width of 30 cm (12 in) and maximum depth of 20 cm (8 in), including handles and side pockets, e.g. a purse, brief case, or laptop case)
The total weight of cabin and second small hand baggage must not exceed 12 kg (26 lb).
In most cases, you will be required to store your hand baggage under the seat in front of you.
Economy Class
(maximum length of 55 cm (22 in), maximum width of 45 cm (18 in) and maximum depth of 25 cm (10 in)including handle, side pockets and wheels)
All other items must be stored inside the cabin baggage.
Oversized or overweight cabin baggage cannot be carried on board due to safety reasons. A 60 EUR fee will be charged for such baggage.

Carriage of Excess/Bulky Baggage
Effective as of 30 October 2011, changes will be implemented regarding the terms and conditions for carriage of baggage within the piece concept.

Non-standard/Oversized Baggage and Overweight Baggage
You will be charged the appropriate additional fee for non-standard baggage (e.g. ski equipment) or for exceeding the free baggage allowance.
Handling fee for non-standard baggage:

The service fee for excess baggage:
EUR 10 or equivalent in local currency
Excess baggage or non-standard baggage is carried on the same aircraft, provided that the necessary space is available or has been reserved in advance.
Valuable, fragile, or easily breakable items (e.g. musical instruments, chandeliers, etc.) wrapped in protective packaging may be taken on board and placed in a separate seat. For such items, the passenger must have a seat confirmed in advance, together with his/her own seat. When reserving a seat for baggage, the dimensions and weight thereof must be provided. For safe carriage in a seat, the item must not exceed 20 kg (44 lbs.) and its dimensions must not exceed 42 cm (16.5 in) in width, 41 cm (16.1 in) in depth, and 80 cm (31.5 in) in height for any type of aircraft. A fee equal to the fare charged for an adult passenger shall be charged for baggage carried in a seat.

Baggage as a Cargo Shipment
If you travel with excess baggage (i.e. baggage exceeding the baggage allowance included in your airfare with respect to weight, number of items or size), we can offer you the carriage thereof at more advantageous prices. Prohibited Items
Air transport is subject to strict security rules. Before you fly, find out which items are excluded from carriage.
According to the applicable international regulations, you are not allowed to have, either with/on you or in your cabin baggage, the following items:
Weapons
Ammunition
Knives and all other items of a stabbing or cutting nature
Toys that look similar to real weapons (e.g., pistols, grenades)
Dangerous materials (explosives and ammunition, flammable and corrosive materials, compressed gases, toxic and infectious substances, oxidizing substances, radioactive materials, magnetic materials and other dangerous goods) may only be carried as cargo on air-waybill and under special conditions of carriage.
You are only permitted to take small quantities of liquids in your cabin luggage or on your person. These liquids must be in individual containers with a maximum capacity of 100 millilitres each. You must pack these containers in one transparent, re-sealable plastic bag with a capacity not exceeding one litre per person.
Liquids include:
Water and other drinks, soups, syrups
Creams, lotions and oils
Perfumes
Sprays
Gels, including hair and shower gels
Contents of pressurised containers, including shaving foam, setting foams, other foams and deodorants
Pastes, including toothpaste
Liquid-solid mixtures
Any other item of similar consistency
Furthermore, you can take the following liquids on board:
Liquids for use during the flight, such as liquids required for medicinal purposes or due to special dietary requirements, including baby food. If you are carrying liquids for medicinal purposes or baby food, make sure they do not exceed the quantity required for the flight. Security staff may ask you to taste the liquid (e.g., baby food) or present a document of its origin (e.g., if carrying insulin, you must show a medical certificate or a prescription in your name).

Sports Equipment
We will gladly help you travel with your sports equipment. We routinely carry bicycles, golf clubs, and skis. Here, we give you information on the procedures for the carriage of each type of sports equipment.
Carriage of sports equipment is subject to a special charge for the non-standard/oversized baggage in most cases. Such baggage must be, for the most part, checked in at the Oversize Baggage counter.
You can carry the following sports gear as checked luggage:
Skiing equipment packed in protective packing (e.g., one pair of skis, poles and boots, or one snowboard and a pair of boots, or one pair of water-skis) is treated as one piece of baggage
Golf equipment (a bag with golf clubs, golf balls and one pair of shoes) is treated as one piece of baggage
A bicycle packed in protective packing is treated as one piece of baggage; a bicycle must be partially disassembled (with the handle bars in direct axis and the pedals removed)
A surfboard or windsurfing set packed in protective packing is treated as one piece of baggage
Other types of sports equipment, such as a kayak or other sports boat, fishing and scuba-diving equipment or other sports equipment must be packed in protective packing, and is treated as one piece of baggage
